De Zoete Haring
The De Zoete Haring project in the Spaarndammer neighbourhood owes its name to the herring salesman who worked on the Van Noordstraat for many years.
Two existing Amsterdam buildings dating from 1901 have been converted into student residences with a grand café on the ground floor. The new building will include apartments with the lowest possible environmental impact and energy consumption.
Foundation
In order to be able to meet the planning and to be able to lay the foundation in one go, we have replaced the supporting wall with a temporary, steel 'table construction', demolished the wall, poured the foundation and then rebuilt the wall. The entire rear facade has been demolished (by applying a temporary jack post construction) and rebuilt with new balconies.
