Extension of The Hague station Hollands Spoor
Today we visited our project for the new entrance of the station Hollands Spoor. A beautiful sight!
The column-free design of the canopy on the square side
The construction of the extension to The Hague's Hollands Spoor station is taking shape. By now you can see that the new station square on the side of Laakhaven will have a fully-fledged station entrance.
The new construction (800 m2) offers space for shops and restaurants. The roof of the construction will be able to park 2500 bicycles.
We measured the existing state with a 3D scan and used this information in 3D models. The architect, the constructor and the installer all worked out the design in 3D. This ensures integral design, whereby bottlenecks are solved in advance.
Challenges in the project:
- Existing environment (close to the railway, connections to existing and new tunnel)
- The column-free design of the canopy on the square side
