‘Het Schip’ is nominated for the Amsterdamse Nieuwbouwprijs 2019!
‘Het Schip' in the Spaarndammer neighbourhood is one of the 10 nominated projects for the Amsterdamse Nieuwbouwprijs 2019 (New Development Prize)! This prize is awarded annually by 'Amsterdam Woont' for new construction projects realized between August 2017 and August 2018. And of course that is quite special: the original building was completed in 1921 and now, almost 100 years later, has been nominated for a new building PRIZE. Curious about what the residents of this project think? In this video of AT5, residents and neighbours talk about this special building.
EversPartners contributed to the thorough renovation and restoration of this complex with 81 rental homes. The complex is known as the figurehead of the architectural movement of the Amsterdam School. Our colleague Ronald de Jong carried out the archive research and made the recordings on the spot. He designed the structural engineering and made the structural calculation for the renovation and foundation repair. He speaks more about this on the restoration het schip. The building and the construction are fully worked out in BIM. Luc Nelis was responsible for coordinating the models of all parties involved and testing them against the requirements of Eigen Haard. Nomination Amsterdamse Nieuwbouwprijs 2019
Voting for the Amsterdamse Nieuwbouwprijs 2019 is still possible until 12 June. As far as we are concerned, Het Schip will be the winner, but maybe we're a little biased. More information about this project can be found on our Projects page of our website. More information about the nominated projects and the results can be found at: The website of AmsterdamWoont
