Daalimpex
The existing Daalimpex cold stores on the North Sea Canal in Velsen-North no longer met the demand for storage and transhipment capacity for fish.
Structural engineering
For Daalimpex, we provided the structural engineering of the new cold stores with a capacity of 150,000 m³. They will operate completely energy-neutral, which is made possible by the use of 12,000 solar panels.
In addition, we have designed a new meeting centre that looks out over the quays and the North Sea Canal, from Amsterdam to the sluices in IJmuiden, like a skybox.
