An Albert Heijn shop has been set up in a restored monumental building on Prins Hendrikkade in Amsterdam. The starting point was to keep the ceilings and walls, restored to their original state, in view as much as possible. Two entrances at the front and back of the building resulted in a special adaptation of the Albert Heijn formula. We have been involved in this project from the consultation with the owner until the opening.
Design sketches & permits
We took care of all the drawing work, from the first design sketches to the permit and working drawings for the finishing work.
It is the former building of Oibibio (of Ronald Jan Heijn, the son of Gerrit Jan Heijn) which also served as restaurant Mercurius and internet company.
